Ann Xavier Choolackal

Ann is a Clinical Psychologist with a strong interest in both psychological interventions and assessments. With 15 years of experience, she has worked extensively in clinical and corporate settings. Her keen research interest lies in the neurocognitive aspects of human behaviour. Ann is proficient in Cognitive Therapies (CBT, REBT, DBT), Integrated Psychotherapy, Play Therapy, Mindfulness-based therapies, and brief solution-focused approaches. Previously, she was the Head of Psychological Services at Silver Oak Health. Before that, she worked at Cadabams Hospital as a senior clinical psychologist and at HCG Cancer Hospital as a neuropsycho-oncologist, providing emotional support to patients and their relatives. She has also been part of the R&D department at Pearson Clinical Assessment division, where she was instrumental in the adaptation and Indian norming of the Raven’s Color Progressive Matrices (CPM), Beck Youth Inventories (BYI), and Wide Range Achievement Test (WRAT). Ann completed her M. Phil in Clinical Psychology from the National Institute of Mental Health and Neurosciences (NIMHANS) and is registered with the Rehabilitation Council of India (RCI) as a Clinical Psychologist. Her other interests include Learning Disabilities, neuropsychological assessments, Cognitive retraining, Prehabilitation (long-term illnesses), and the prevention and management of childhood/adolescent emotional issues.
