The Sexual Harassment of Women at Workplace Act came into effect in 2013 in India. . As per the act, every employer is required to constitute an Internal Complaints Committee (ICC) along with an External Committee Member at each office or branch that has 10 or more employees. The Act also makes it mandatory to conduct POSH awareness training sessions (POSH training) for all employees, and organize special training sessions for their Internal Committee (IC) members. In addition, the employer has to make sure that the Internal Committee files the annual compliance report on time.
