The Sexual Harassment of Women at Workplace Act came into effect in 2013 in India.  As per the act, every employer is required to constitute an Internal Complaints Committee (ICC) along with an External Committee Member at each office or branch that has 10 or more employees. Employers must also conduct employee awareness programmes and IC orientation at regular intervals, display the required notices, provide facilities for inquiries and complete applicable reporting requirements.
